You can be collected from accommodation in Beaune, close to Beaune or from Beaune station & from villages in Cote de Beaune

As these are private tours, children are welcome with their parents although I always suggest at least one activity during the day that the children will also enjoy.

Wine Cellar, Vineyard & Restaurant FAQ’s

1Is there a dress code for the cellar visits and lunch venue?
Smart casual is very acceptable.
2Are the cellars cold?
Cellars can be chilly in winter and even in summer, it’s best to bring something to wrap round your shoulders!
3Can we have wine exported back home?
We can facilitate wine exports to the USA - check before arrival
4Can we just buy a bottle or two?
Yes, there’s no problem at all with that.
5Are the tours aimed at beginners or connoisseurs?
All tours are tailored to the clients’ particular experience. I always ask questions via email before the tour.
6How are wineries chosen for each tour?
I work with a large network of winegrowers so it depends on the tour chosen and availability of winemakers.
7Is lunch included in the tour?
A three course lunch is included on the tour, exclusive of drinks with lunch.
8Will we be able to get out into the vineyards?
All tours include a drive through the famous vineyards, stopping at notable sites for photographic opportunities.

Travel and Accommodation FAQ’s

1What sort of transport is used for the tours
My company vehicle is a comfortable 7 seater Peugeot 5008 Monospace with panoramic roof
2Is it possible to fly from Paris to Burgundy?
Unfortunately, not at the moment!
3Can we do the tour in one day from Paris by train?
Theoretically it is possible, although it would be a very long day, so I usually suggest an overnight stay.
4Should we stay in Beaune or Dijon?
As Beaune is the wine capital and central for all of the tours, Beaune is best. I do not pick clients up from Dijon but you can take the train and I will collect you at Beaune station
5Do you have hotel and restaurant recommendations?
With every tour request I send out my recommended accommodation list - I can suggest my personal favourites for restaurants!
6How far is it to drive from Paris or Lyon to Beaune?
Depending upon the time of day, you should allow 3/4 hours from Paris and 90 minutes from Lyon.
7Can we get private transfers from Paris or Lyon airports?
Yes, I can arrange for you to be picked up by private car from either of these airports.
8Are there taxis at the stations?
Yes, but might be best to order one in advance!
9Can we bring breakfast/coffees to consume in the car when we get picked up?
In order to keep the car pristine for all clients, please have your breakfast before I arrive for the start of the tour. I suggest having coffee early so that your palate is ready for wine tasting.
