f you are looking for a one or two day wine tour during your visit to Burgundy, look no further than Burgundy on a Plate! We can offer a selection of excellent

private wine tasting tours which include a delicious, typically Burgundian three course regional lunch. All tours are conducted in English with a bilingual driver wine guide.

You will be collected from your hotel in the morning in our air-conditioned comfortable vehicle and at the end of the day, dropped back to your hotel or to the station, allowing you to enjoy your wine tasting experiences without the worry of driving.

Our tours will show you a slice of real Burgundy life and provide you with a good overview of the Burgundy wine region in a fun and informative way. We can take up to six people, but if you require a private tour, please contact us to arrange it. Tours begin at 9am and finish about 5pm - departure point is in or near Beaune. Wine Tours

Tour A - Vineyards of Côte & Hautes Côtes de Beaune

Two private tastings/cellar visits in Meursault, Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet or St Aubin
Drive up into the upper slopes with its stunning vineyard views, past the castle of La Rochepot and the beautiful vineyard landscape across St Romain
Lunch in Volnay for some of the best regional cuisine of the area
Final wine tasting of the day in either Auxey Duresses, Pommard or Volnay with artisanal wine grower

Tour B - Vineyards of Côte & Hautes Côtes de Nuits

Private tastings in three different domains in Côte de Nuits wine villages.
Delicious 3 course typically Burgundian lunch with glass of wine Leisurely drive through the famous vineyards of Côtes de Nuits, Nuits St Georges,Vosne Romanee, Chambolle Musigny, Gevrey Chambertin etc
Visit and stroll around the site of the legendary Romanée Conti vineyards

Tour C - Wine & Vineyard Workshop & Tasting Lunch in Puligny

Visit the vineyards of the famed white wine village of Puligny Montrachet where all your questions will be answered, followed by a visit to the winemaker’s cellar for an in depth tour.
Learn to appreciate colours, aromas and flavours in a three course commented tasting lunch, tasting up to 14 wines
Drive through renowned villages & vineyards of Côte de Beaune for some stunning vineyard views
Final tasting of the day with an artisanal winegrower, enjoying some of the reds of Côte de Beaune

Tasting of some excellent artisanally made cow’s milk cheeses , with a glass of local wine at a farm outside of Beaune Cellar/tasting visit in Meursault or St Aubin

Visit to a goats cheese farm, sampling cheese & wine, meeting the goats and admiring some of the best views in Burgundy

Half day cooking class at a 1* Michelin restaurant including wine tasting with a winegrower or the sommelier of the restaurant. After lunch an exceptional private cellar/wine tasting experience in Cote de Beaune or Cote de Nuits and a tour of some of the famous vineyards in the area.

Visits to two of the prettiest medieval villages in France, Flavigny sur Ozerain (of 'Chocolat' fame) and Chateauneuf en Auxois
Lunch at a Ferme Auberge run by local farmers’ wives
Fun and informative tasting of wines of the Auxois region Optional walking tour through Flavigny’s delightful streets Chateau visit and stroll through picturesque Chateauneuf and return to Beaune via the beautiful Ouche Valley

Tour I - Truffles & Wine

Come and join us for our one day wine tasting and truffle hunting in the beautiful Cote de Nuits. Spend the morning watching the dogs sniff out the precious truffles, visit the local 17th C. chateau for a tasting of wines and truffle delicacies and after a light lunch, two cellar and vineyard visits in Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Nuits St Georges or Vosne Romanee. Although the season is September to December, outside of this time it will be a demonstration.
